Administrative Specialist
Primary Job Responsibilities:
- Responds to and resolves administrative inquiries and questions.
- Ability to read and comprehend detailed instructions, correspondence, and memos; Ability to write detailed and specific correspondence; Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
- Prepares agendas and schedules meetings.
- Maintains filing systems as assigned.
- Supports managers by reviewing and correcting confidential written correspondence.
- Conducts research, compiles data, and prepares statistical reports.
- Perform administrative tasks related to human resources to include:
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation.
- Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records.
- May assist with payroll functions including processing, answering employee questions, fixing processing errors, and distributing checks.
- Assists with recruitment and new hire orientation.
- Assists with the planning and execution of special events such as benefits, enrollment, organization-wide meetings, employee recognition events, holiday parties, etc.
- Performs other related human resources duties as assigned.
- Will be a primary back-up for customer service.
Requirements:
- An associate’s degree is required. Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred.
- Must have extensive experience using Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Adobe software programs.
- Minimum of three years of experience in an administrative role, with a focus on supporting high level management.
- Prefer experience in customer service with supplementary training in customer service skills.
- Excellent organizational skills, time management skills, and multi-tasking skills.
- Prefer experience in the duties of human resources administration.

Hiring Range
Rate of pay depends on knowledge, skills and abilities. Salary for this position ranges from $26.81 to $36.79 per hour (DOE).
